The Dunglass Estate Christmas Market
Dunglass, Cockburnspath TD13 5XF
The Dunglass Estate Christmas Market is perched on the edge of a deep ravine known as the Dunglass Dean. Sir James Hall built the stunning Dunglass House on this site in 1813. In 1918, the house changed hands when the estate was sold to Mr Frank Usher.
Sadly by the end of the Second World War it had become a liability and it shared the fate of many a grand home and was demolished in 1958.
The Dunglass Estate Christmas Market is in such a beautiful and peaceful setting, it’s no wonder Robert Burns paid tribute to Dunglass in 1787 as ‘the most romantic sweet place I ever saw’.
This is a unique Scottish craft market in a fantastic setting on the Dunglass Estate. With many Scottish handmade crafts and produce, including Scottish handmade cushions and throws from Baigali designs.
