Trossach Cushion
Luxury Handcrafted Cushions
My belle epoque cushion design is inspired by the colours of the Trossach hills in Scotland. They are generally referred to as an area of wooded glens and lochs lying to the east of Ben Lomond. Also home to ‘Hill House’ which is considered to be Charles Rennie Mackintosh’s domestic masterpiece.
Whenever I see these hills, I think of the ‘Bella Epoque’ and ‘Art Nouveau’ period of design. Increasing wealth and flourishing arts in Glasgow during the early 20th century allowed city dwellers to roam the Trossachs hills to escape the grim of the city.
My design therefore contains ‘Bella Epoque’ patterns which I have sourced from a local fabric house in Scotland. The design includes blocks of 100% soft and vibrant tweed fabrics. These are embellished with appliqué work. This design is my most popular seller at craft fairs.
Above all, my beautiful Trossach cushions are designed to provide a sense of nostalgic luxury and add vibrant colour to your home.
